URGENT NEWS: We just got a call from Lakelands and the payroll won’t be deposited till Tuesday, May 8th due to not being able to access their computers.
Welcome to our new website, although we continue to upgrade with new updated information our hope is that members will start to utilize the site for information and provide your suggestions towards improving on the site while keeping your contact information currant to ensure you receive all notices and mail outs. Also note the link to Northern Skills Training which will have important information on this pilot project funded through a labour market agreement between the government of Canada and the Province of BC to assist USW members both in Mining and Forestry.

District 3 Director Stephen Hunt demanded action from Government, Worksafe and the RCMP in the wake of yet another sawmill explosion in Northern BC.
